Themed post 1: University of Berkley 2017

A couple of years ago I declined the opportunity to exchange from one month to England , with the specific purpose of learning to speak English, which to this day has not gone well . Now in college , there has been concern me from studying for a semester in another country, and the most desirable destination for me is the university of california, berkeley based . It turns out that in  San Francisco's valley , particularly in Oakland, have family , whom I consulted if a hypothetical case study there could stay at home, to which they responded yes. I want to know the experience of studying in the United States, besides being able to learn to speak English well, so I'm trying to force myself to pass the levels of English and prepare for the test to certify my knowledge.

Relationed with the oral presentation: My vocation for music therapy

In the oral presentation, I presented my future career prospect, and said that I want being a musictherapist in the future. That goal have a begining, obviously, and now I will describe how started this wish.

When I had seventeen years I went to the psychologist per some problems that i had, and  sessions as were advancing and the taste for this discipline began to grow up in me, but of the same form the taste for music also it grew. One day I told to my therapist my preferences to the psychology and music, and he said to me the existence of the musictherapy, something unknown for me but just the name called my attention, and I thought in my head what that should be my future, something that can include both disciplines.

From that day I want be a musictherapist, but i needed to learn to play an instrument, and I decided begin to learn piano, because the sound  emanated is very beautiful and exciting to me. Today I've been learning to play piano for a year, and last week buy a new one , which I hope accompany me for a long time.

Carl Rogers

Carl Rogers was an American psychologist , born in Oak Park in 1902. He first studied agriculture, in 1919 , later abandoned per theological studies at a seminary. In 1924 he married his childhood sweetheart , Helen Elliot , with whom he had two children. 20 years later , in 1944 , published the text Client -Centered Therapy , which expands what developed in Counseling and Psichotherapy , text focuses bases of humanistic psychology . In keeping with his personality and theory , Rogers would focus the final part of his life to working for world peace , reflected in the foundation of the Center for the study of the person , and the Institute of Peace. He died in 1987 , the same year he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.He is considerate the "father of humanistic psychology" with his colleague Abraham Maslow. The central postulate of Rogers say that the individuate is free to define it life's way, and is necessary that it  find with itself. I present this autor because to this highness, of all the contents that we have been seen, is his theory that most call my atention to follow more forward.

Two weeks in stoppage

In this stage of the semester , it is known the long time that we have Been in stoppage . After one month, I was in a very complicate situation , I didn't knew  to do , and I thought : is the hour for see Breaking Bad. The first chapter was very interesting, from the first minute,the history catches to you through of his main character: Walter White, the chemistry's teacher that will think in make methamphetamine. I started to watch the serie a tuesday of  x's week, one day before that I went to Osorno, my home.I woke up at ten oclock, and an hour or half hour my routine began: see BrBa all the day. The serie have sixty three chapters of forty five minutes each one, therefore I saw 4 chapters per day, although I think that were days where I watched between seven or eight chapters. Finally I return to Santiago and that same day I finished the serie. It was the most improductive weeks of my life, and upon time its over, the university continue in stoppage.

A litte piece of "Scarff" the Sheep

This is not the best picture of my friend "Scarff" the Sheep, but works to show a little of the great adventure lived in the last summer, to us, but winter in the old continent, that was the travel destination.

The travel meant a dream for Scarff, a dream throug all of his wishes, a dream realized for him and for his creators, a couple of the South of Chile, who's given life to Scarff with a mix of love and caring.

"Scarff" visited three cities, first London, second Paris and finally Roma, in the respective order, In the picture he appears with a red cabin outside the Westminster Station, in London, his favorite city of  the three. He told me that London was the best for him, because loves the scenary; walk along the shore of  the Tamesis and look the branches of the trees was for him something priceless, he felt drown in a beautiful and pure air that soaked all of his senses.

He wants come back to London, but the next time with the couple that gave life to him, because feels that is an important deed beautiful of share with the people that one loves.

Accumulative great number onee: Is it love or lust?

1. Why did your select the article?

Answer: First, i searched in the web an article relationed with the health, and suddenly appeared to me the text that i selected. Well, i think that since i was a child ever i have been interested in the love, and now that i m a big men, like to me themes about mixed love and lust (considering that i don't knew the meaning of lust before read the article), therefore i believe that is a interesting theme.

2. Did  yo find enough information in the article? Did you find the info you were looking for?

Answer: The information contained in the article i found correct and short, in the sense what included  biological and social aspects, also that a the responses were built from a specialist's standpoint, but i think that might have had opinions of the study's subjects (men and women)

3. What was the most interesting thing you learn about it?

Answer: The most interesting aspect of the text that i learned is the age influences in sexual interests, because this explains the why the women close to the 20 years have less tend that the men for demostrate her sexual desires, although also have that have in consideration the personality of the people. In addition to the previous, caught my attention the biological aspects that explain the age influence, like the testosterone production or the estrogens level decrease.

My entertainment device

My favourite piece of technology is the cellphone. I have a samsung galaxy trend and was buyed the last year, after that my old phone broke (because it was very old, i didn't break it). I use my cellphone for very things, but specially to call and chat in the social networks, because is very important for me the comunication with my family and friends, and that plataform is the most succesful for the fast deveploment of the conversations. Also i use it like a gps, in Santiago is very useful, because the city  is very extense, and is very necessary for the people of regions, like me, and use ever that i need to go a new place. In addition to the previous, i use my cellphone for my studies: i download microsoft Power Points, Words, Excels; to look my greats, to see my e-mail, to talk with my classmates and teachers, etc.

The fundamental reasons because the cellphone is my favourite piece of technology is  multi funcional capacity plus the size, that allow it transport it for any place that i visit, althoug sometimes can transform in an incomunication weapon, at the moment in the what i stay browsing in it a lot of time.

Without it my life would very different, we are a sons of technology and our actions revolve around it. Everything would change, for best or worse i don´t know, depends in where your looks.

Expectations for the semester

In my first semester in the university i will try to give the best of me, in all the senses. Like a student of first year are many things that i dont know, but  i'm sure that will be a very sucesfull experience and i will get great results.

In the subjects matter i m very trust that every will be hard, but it is not a obstacle for that me get a great marks, i m preparing for this and my goal is be one of the best students of the class. Beyond that this, i would like to that the university not  be a charge for me, conversely, i m going to try that be a quiet activity that no arrive with it a stress situations.

i would like too realize a sports activity, specially swimming, because is a sport that develop a lot of muscles of the body and help to relax, but i m waiting the answer of the docent direction, because is not a Juan Gomez Millas practice, therefore is necessary to open a vacant in the swimming pool, and also i need meet the schedule of class, for know if i can assist this semester :(

In my personal life i want make a real and good friends, with they i expect live a beautyful and funny moments. Also whish enjoy our new life with my girlfriend and so receive the benefits that the capital give to us. 

Finally i expect continue developing my music skills in the piano, because i love this instrument and want a day make therapíes with the beautiful of it sound. 

A new start

After a few days in the university, I thought that is a moment for write thinks about my life. I begin saying that i am 18 years old,  I was born in Osorno in 1996, i studied all of time in the San Mateo school, place that save the most important memories of my life until this instant. In the personal characteristics of me, i like listen music, specially rap and rock, is important  the espiritual development and the relation with the sounds, and for me the connection help to grow up in the diversity tips of the life, and is for these that i decided to learn to play piano a one year ago. In the thinks more trivial, I like watch series, specifically supernatural, and a child series, like is pokemon. My favourite color is the orange and the food that i love is the corn cake

 Going to the most profund, i think every day in the people that suffer whatever be their problem, are situations that very touching me and i want help the lot of i can. I 'm a very sensible and loyal person that like make friend and enjoy the simples thinks of the life :)
